Ironstone Entrance Technologies in Brantford has just demonstrated the power and benefits of community outreach during a pandemic.
The well-known business has raised $17,000 for the local food bank, an initiative that will help feed families in need.
The company’s massive campaign, dubbed “Brant Businesses Answer the Call – COVID-19 Response,” was a resounding success as scores of businesses from the community stepped up to the plate and supported the cause.
The funds were used to purchase 10 pallets of food, a timely initiative with May 1 being rent-day for many local residents.
The team from Ironstone presented the pallets of food at the Brantford Food Bank’s Warehouse on April 30 (10:30 AM). There were tears of joy and laughter as the pallets were unloaded, thanks to the help of Bell City Transport and The Brimich Group, two local companies that handled all the trucking and logistics for the food delivery effort.
A big thanks to everyone who helped support this special campaign. And it’s amazing to see how $17,000 was raised in just seven days.
We are stronger together and this initiative is one that will go down in the history books for this great community!
