The coronavirus pandemic has taken us on quite the rollercoaster ride this year. As we leave summertime and open patios behind, we step closer to winter and stricter regulations. If your business opened back up in the summer, chances are, you’re worried about the impact winter and the cold will have on your business.
Though we don’t have all the answers, we do have some ideas and ways to ease customers’ minds during COVID. From finding a reliable cleaning company to strictly following indoor standards, there are ways you can ensure your business stays a safe space for consumers. Learn more below!
Find a Reliable Cleaning Company
This may sound like such a small thing but having a reliable cleaning company will make your employees and your customers feel safe. Try to find a company that puts the quality of cleaning before the speed of cleaning. During COVID, proper sanitizing processes must be followed to ensure the safety of all parties.
You could even have a sticker or sign that tells customers which cleaning company you use, so they know you’re putting their safety first.
Send Reassurance Emails
Now, this is actually a small way to ease customers’ minds during COVID-19. Emails may not seem like something customers appreciate, but if you just look at the impact of email marketing, you’ll see that this form of communication really makes a difference. So, if you’re noticing that your rate of daily customers has slowed down, then maybe it’s time to send a reassuring email.
Let them know what protective measures you have in place. Tell them about the cleaning crew you have. Tell them about how all employees are given time off if they’re feeling sick. In general, you want these emails to calm the qualms customers may have about stepping inside your doors.
Have Disinfectants and PPE Readily Available
In your reassurance email, you should talk about the protective measures you have in place. Some of those should be readily available disinfectants and PPE. A few examples are as follows:
- Disposable masks
- Plenty of hand sanitizer
- Disinfectant spray for anything customers touch
Follow up and stay educated on health guidelines to ensure your company is doing whatever possible to keep customers safe.
