Young people today are faced with a greater access to knowledge than ever before in history.

Today, the wealth and depth of information available presents developing young minds with two distinct challenges.
The first is very simply, how to qualify it. Quantification is simple. What you need you can find. The question for career development among young people now is, “What exactly do you need?”
This comes down to curriculum in adolescent development. Information is not lacking, it’s the ability to manage and direct the information to a worthwhile outcome that represents the most significant challenge for youth today.
In this new age, post adolescent development is no longer within the domain of the educational system. Underfunded, understaffed and often undereducated in the realities of a new society the infrastructure we have so long depended on is now unable to sustain the progress of developing young minds.
What is required is a support foundation where young people can access the help and guidance they require to make life determining decisions at a relatively young age.
That brings us back to question number one: How do you qualify the information available?

There is an old saying that “it’s impossible to know everything, but it’s easy to know someone who does.” This training should be as fundamental as cooking, sewing and shop class used to be. Young people today have the knowledge of history at their fingertips. What they lack is the ability to manage it to their own benefit and ultimately, the benefit of every other person who might one day benefit from their skills and the application of what they have learned.
